The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Dowling Catholic Maroons (West Des Moines, IA) and the visiting Waterloo West Wahawks (Waterloo, IA), witnessed Dowling Catholic's football squad wallop Waterloo West by a tally of 55-7.

The Maroons (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Kennedy (Cedar Rapids, IA). The Cougars enter the 5A Group 2 bout with a 3-2 record. In their last bout, Kennedy smashed Marshalltown (Marshalltown, IA), 49-0, in a league bout.

The Wahawks now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Dallas Center-Grimes for a 5A Group 2 bout on Friday, October 3. Waterloo West will confront a Mustangs squad coming off a 29-28 league win over Waukee (Waukee, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-1.
