Pennsylvania High School Football - Hazleton Area defeated by Wilkes-Barre

In Friday's league game, the Wilkes-Barre Wolfpack (Wilkes-Barre, PA) football team were victorious over the visiting Hazleton Area Cougars (Hazleton, PA), by a margin of 35-21.

The Wolfpack now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pittston for a Wyoming Valley 1 outing on Friday, October 3. Wilkes-Barre will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 47-14 league win over Crestwood (Mountain Top, PA). The Patriots record now stands at 5-1.

With the defeat, Hazleton Area drops to 1-5 on the year. The Cougars host Crestwood (Mountain Top, PA) to battle the Comets in a Wyoming Valley 1 game on Friday, October 3. The Comets enter the game with a record of 3-3. Crestwood lost 47-14 in their recent league game against Pittston (Pittston, PA)
