The Nitro Wildcats walloped the visiting Ripley Vikings football team by a score of 48-6 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 3. Nitro will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Big Blacks come into the test with a 0-4 record after their 46-7 non-league loss to Herbert Hoover (Elkview, WV).

With the defeat, Ripley drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Vikings host Roane County (Spencer, WV) to meet the Raiders in a non-league test on Friday, October 3. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 3-1. Roane County won 46-20 in their recent league challenge against Braxton County (Sutton, WV)
