The Franklin Sabers triumphed over the visiting Pius XI Catholic Popes soccer squad by a margin of 4-0 in Friday's non-league contest.
Next, the Sabers face the Kenosha Tremper Trojans (Kenosha, WI) in a Southeast contest, on Tuesday, September 30. Franklin will attempt to advance on its 8-2 season record. The Trojans enter the contest with a 5-3 record after their 3-1 league win over Racine Horlick (Racine, WI).
The Popes (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Wisconsin Lutheran (Milwaukee, WI). The Vikings enter the Woodland West challenge with a 5-7 record. In their last challenge, Wisconsin Lutheran nudged Milwaukee King (Milwaukee, WI), 5-1, in a non-league challenge.
