Abilene Eagles (Abilene, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Cooper Cougars (Abilene, TX), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Eagles (16-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Legacy (Wichita Falls, TX). The Leopards enter the 5A Region I District 4 challenge with a 12-23 record. In their last challenge, Legacy was beaten by Wylie (Abilene, TX), 3-0, in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 1-19 record. They put it on the line next when they host Memorial for a 5A Region I District 4 test on Tuesday, September 30. Cooper will face a Mavericks squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Abilene (Abilene, TX). The Mavericks record now stands at 23-5.
