The Bastrop Bears volleyball squad (Bastrop, TX), was edged 3-2 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Anderson Trojans (Austin, TX)

The Trojans (12-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Crockett (Austin, TX). The Cougars enter the 5A Region III District 24 challenge with a 10-18 record.

In their next game, the Bears face the McCallum Knights (Austin, TX) in a 5A Region III District 24 challenge, on Tuesday, September 30. Bastrop will attempt to upgrade on its 24-10 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 22-9 record after their 3-1 league win over Richards School for Young Women Leaders (Austin, TX).
