Word of Life Christian Academy (Las Vegas, NV) backers were pleased Friday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host Laughlin Cougars (Laughlin, NV), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Sandy Valley (Sandy Valley, NV). The Sidewinders come into the 1A South challenge with a 0-10 record.

Next, the Cougars play the Indian Springs Thunderbirds (Indian Springs, NV) in a non-league test, on Friday, October 10. Laughlin will attempt to advance on its 5-5 season record.
