The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Pender Patriots (Burgaw, NC) and the host West Columbus Vikings (Cerro Gordo, NC), saw Pender's volleyball squad beat West Columbus by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Pender upgrades its record to 11-4 on the year. The Patriots host Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC) to play the Titans in a bout on Thursday, September 29. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Heide Trask won 2-0 in their recent league bout against Whiteville (Whiteville, NC)

The Vikings now own a 0-7 record. They play next when they travel to East Columbus for a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 28.
