The Topsail Pirates soccer team scored 2 points and limited the host Ashley Screaming Eagle to 1 in the Pirates league victory on Tuesday.

Next, the Pirates face the North Brunswick Scorpions (Leland, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A contest, on Thursday, September 29. Topsail will attempt to better on its 8-1 season record. The Scorpions enter the contest with a 6-5 record after their 2-1 league loss to South Brunswick (Southport, NC).

The Screaming Eagle now have a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to New Hanover for a Mideastern 3A/4A contest on Thursday, September 29. Ashley will face a Wildcats team coming off a 7-1 league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-2.
