In Tuesday's league battle, the host Goldsboro Cougars soccer squad scored a close 4-0 triumph over the Beddingfield Bruins.
The Cougars (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Princeton (Princeton, NC). The Bulldogs come into the Neuse Six 2A battle with a 2-6 record. In their last battle, Princeton tipped Eastern Wayne (Goldsboro, NC), 1-0, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Bruins battle the North Johnston Panthers (Kenly, NC) in a Neuse Six 2A bout, on Thursday, September 29. Beddingfield will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 9-3 record after their 6-3 league win over Spring Creek (Seven Springs, NC).
