Mary Persons Bulldogs (Forsyth, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Upson-Lee Knights (Thomaston, GA), 10-7 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 9-10 record. They take the field next when they host Pike County for a 3A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, October 4. Mary Persons will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 12-6 non-league win over Locust Grove (Locust Grove, GA). The Pirates record now stands at 15-12.

With the loss, Upson-Lee falls to 4-20 on the campaign. The Knights host Schley County (Ellaville, GA) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Monday, October 3. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 14-8. Schley County won 16-0 in their recent league challenge against Webster County (Preston, GA)
