Next up, the Vikings face the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A contest, on Thursday, September 29. Avery County will attempt to better on its 9-6 season record. The Wildcats go into the contest with a 8-8 record after their 3-1 league loss to Owen (Black Mountain, NC).

With the loss, Rosman moves to 6-9 on the year. The Tigers travel to Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC) to face the Cougars in a Western Highlands 1A/2A contest on Thursday, September 29. The Cougars go into the contest with a record of 9-4. Mountain Heritage lost 3-2 in their recent league contest against Draughn (Valdese, NC)
