The Independence Patriots topped the host Charleston Catholic Irish volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Patriots now have a 4-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host James Monroe for a non-league test on Thursday, September 29. Independence will confront a Mavericks team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Princeton (Princeton, WV). The Mavericks record now stands at 16-8.
The Irish (5-6) will now prepare for their test against James Monroe (Lindside, WV). The Mavericks enter the Mountain State test with a 17-9 record. In their last test, James Monroe gained a win over Wyoming East (New Richmond, WV), 2-0, in a non-league test.
