The Piedmont Panthers volleyball team (Monroe, NC), went down 3-0 in Tuesday's league challenge with the host Cuthbertson Cavaliers (Waxhaw, NC)

The Cavaliers (5-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Mavericks come into the Southern Carolina 4A challenge with a 16-5 record. In their last challenge, Marvin Ridge defeated Weddington (Matthews, NC), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Panthers encounter the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) in a Southern Carolina 4A challenge, on Thursday, September 29. Piedmont will attempt to move on its 8-9 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 3-11 record after their 3-0 league loss to Sun Valley (Monroe, NC).
