The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Shelby Valley Wildcats (Pikeville, KY) and the visiting Martin County Cardinals (Inez, KY), saw Shelby Valley's volleyball squad beat Martin County by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Shelby Valley upgrades its record to 16-3 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Knott County Central (Hindman, KY) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 28. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 8-7.

The Cardinals now own a 0-18 record. They play next when they travel to Johnson Central for a District 57 bout on Thursday, September 29. Martin County will play a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Floyd Central (Eastern, KY). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 16-12.
