The Thomaston Bears smashed the visiting Shepaug Valley Spartans soccer squad by a margin of 8-0 in Wednesday's league match.
The Bears now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Terryville for a Berkshire game on Friday, September 29.
The Spartans (0-5) will now prepare for their game against Nonnewaug (Woodbury, CT). The Chiefs go into the Berkshire game with a 5-0 record. In their last game, Nonnewaug notched a victory over Wamogo (Litchfield, CT), 8-0, in a non-league game.
