North Carolina High School Soccer - Mountain Heritage nudges Draughn

The Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC) soccer nipped the host Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), 2-1 in Wednesday's league bout.
With the victory, Mountain Heritage moves its record to 9-3 on the year. The Cougars travel to Erwin (Asheville, NC) to battle the Warriors in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 28. The Warriors enter the bout with a record of 6-7. Erwin won 5-0 in their recent league bout against McDowell (Marion, NC)
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A bout, on Monday, October 2. Draughn will attempt to move on its 2-11 season record. The Warhorses enter the bout with a 9-1 record after their 8-0 league win over Madison (Marshall, NC).
