In Wednesday's league battle, the visiting Russell County Lakers volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Clinton County Bulldogs.
The Lakers (21-7) will now prepare for their battle against Monroe County (Tompkinsville, KY). The Falcons come into the District 16 battle with a 14-10 record. In their last battle, Monroe County achieved victory over Glasgow (Glasgow, KY), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Bulldogs clash with the Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY) in a District 16 battle, on Thursday, September 28. Clinton County will attempt to advance on its 14-8 season record. The Hornets come into the battle with a 15-14 record after their 3-0 league win over Cumberland County (Burkesville, KY).
