Pennsylvania High School Football - Ellwood City triumphant over New Brighton

September 27, 2024: Ellwood City, PA 16117

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Ellwood City Wolverine (Ellwood City, PA) and the visiting New Brighton Lions (New Brighton, PA), witnessed Ellwood City's football squad wallop New Brighton by a tally of 33-0.

The Wolverine (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Western Beaver (Industry, PA). The Golden Beavers enter the WPIAL AA Midwestern contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Western Beaver crushed Riverside (Ellwood City, PA), 21-10, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Lions confront the Mohawk Area Warriors (Bessemer, PA) in a WPIAL AA Midwestern contest, on Friday, October 4. New Brighton will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Warriors enter the contest with a 3-2 record after their 41-14 league win over Union Area (New Castle, PA).
