Kentucky High School Football - North Laurel thwarted by Southwestern

Southwestern Warriors (Somerset, KY) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host North Laurel Jaguars (London, KY), 23-14 in a league battle.

With the win, Southwestern improves its record to 2-3 on the season. The Warriors travel to Harlan County (Harlan, KY) to play the Black Bears in a 5A District 8 battle on Friday, October 4. The Black Bears go into the battle with a record of 1-3.

The Jaguars now have a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to South Laurel for a 5A District 8 battle on Friday, October 4. North Laurel will play a Cardinals team coming off a 49-7 league loss to Pulaski County (Somerset, KY). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-2.
