In Friday's league match, the host Springville Red Devils football squad scored a good 20-6 triumph over the Wasatch Wasps.

The Red Devils (5-2) will now prepare for their match against Maple Mountain (Spanish Fork, UT). The Golden Eagles come into the 5A Region 7 match with a 6-1 record. In their last match, Maple Mountain went down by Orem (Orem, UT), 30-28, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Wasps meet the Timpview Thunderbirds (Provo, UT) in a 5A Region 7 match, on Friday, October 4. Wasatch will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the match with a 3-2 record after their 40-10 league win over Cedar Valley (Eagle Mountain, UT).
