The Wallkill Panthers soccer squad scored 1 points and held the visiting Saugerties Sawyers to 0 in the Panthers league victory on Friday.

The Panthers now hold a 6-1 record. They play next when they travel to Rhinebeck for a Mid Hudson Athletic League (MHAL) bout on Monday, September 30. Wallkill will play a Hawks squad coming off a 9-0 non-league loss to Mount Academy (Esopus, NY). The Hawks record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Saugerties moves to 1-5 on the year. The Sawyers travel to Marlboro Central (Marlboro, NY) to play the Dukes in a Mid Hudson Athletic League (MHAL) bout on Tuesday, October 1. The Dukes go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Marlboro Central won 2-0 in their recent league bout against Rondout Valley (Accord, NY)
