Next, the Tigers battle the Chisum Mustangs (Paris, TX) in a 3A Region II District 12 contest, on Tuesday, October 1. Mount Vernon will attempt to move on its 3-16 season record. The Mustangs enter the contest with a 18-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Lone Oak (Lone Oak, TX).
