In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Eureka Vandals volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Pyramid Lake Lakers.
The Vandals (17-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Pahranagat Valley (Alamo, NV). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 4-5 record.
Next, the Lakers play the Sage Ridge Scorpions (Reno, NV) in a 1A Western challenge, on Tuesday, October 1. Pyramid Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Scorpions come into the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 3-1 league loss to Mineral County (Hawthorne, NV).
