The High Island Cardinals edged the host Hull-Daisetta Bobcats volleyball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Friday's league game.

Next up, the Cardinals confront the Spurger Pirates (Spurger, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 25 game, on Tuesday, October 1. High Island will attempt to advance on its 3-4 season record. The Pirates go into the game with a 9-8 record after their 3-1 league win over Burkeville (Burkeville, TX).

The Bobcats (1-12) will now prepare for their game against Burkeville (Burkeville, TX). The Mustangs go into the 1A Region IV District 25 game with a 1-10 record. In their last game, Burkeville was edged by Spurger (Spurger, TX), 3-1, in a league game.
