Fans at Friday's league contest between the Nimitz Vikings (Irving, TX) and the host MacArthur Cardinals (Irving, TX), observed Nimitz's volleyball team top MacArthur by a tally of 3-0.

The Vikings (13-13) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Highlands (Dallas, TX). The Wildcats enter the 6A Region I District 7 contest with a 20-11 record. In their last contest, Lake Highlands beat Pearce (Richardson, TX), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Cardinals meet the Pearce Mustangs (Richardson, TX) in a 6A Region I District 7 contest, on Tuesday, October 1. MacArthur will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Mustangs enter the contest with a 19-9 record after their 3-1 league loss to Lake Highlands (Dallas, TX).
