California High School Flag Football - Camarillo can't hold off Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach Oilers (Huntington Beach, CA) followers went home pleased Saturday as they saw their flag football team nip the visiting Camarillo Scorpions (Camarillo, CA), 27-25 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Huntington Beach advances its record to 14-1 on the season. The Oilers travel to Newport Harbor (Newport Beach, CA) to play the Sailors in a Sunset battle on Monday, September 29. The Sailors go into the battle with a record of 18-1. Newport Harbor won 39-13 in their recent league battle against Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos, CA)

The Scorpions now own a 21-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oak Park for a match on Tuesday, October 7. Camarillo will confront a Eagles squad coming off a 41-34 league loss to Simi Valley (Simi Valley, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 5-5.
