In Saturday's league contest, the Elko Indians (Elko, NV) soccer team edged the host Fernley Vaqueros (Fernley, NV), by a count of 1-0.
Next, the Indians face the Lowry Buckaroos (Winnemucca, NV) in a 3A Northern - East contest, on Friday, October 3. Elko will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record.
The Vaqueros (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Churchill County (Fallon, NV). The Greenwave go into the 3A Northern - East challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, Churchill County nudged Spring Creek (Spring Creek, NV), 2-1, in a league challenge.
