The Mead Panthers (Spokane, WA) soccer nipped the host Kamiakin Braves (Kennewick, WA), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Panthers now hold a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Shadle Park for a 3A/4A Greater Spokane challenge on Monday, September 29. Mead will encounter a Highlanders squad coming off a 8-0 league loss to Gonzaga Prep (Spokane, WA). The Highlanders record now stands at 2-5.
Next up, the Braves battle the Walla Walla Blue Devils (Walla Walla, WA) in a 3A/4A Mid-Columbia battle, on Tuesday, September 30. Kamiakin will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Blue Devils enter the battle with a 2-6 record after their 7-0 league loss to Chiawana (Pasco, WA).
