Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders (St. Cloud, MN) and the host St. Paul Academy-Summit Spartans (St. Paul, MN), saw St. Cloud Cathedral's soccer squad hold off St. Paul Academy-Summit by a count of 1-0.
The Crusaders (17-3) will now prepare for their match against Moorhead (Moorhead, MN). The Spuds come into the non-league match with a 3-8 record. In their last match, Moorhead nipped Sauk Rapids-Rice (Sauk Rapids, MN), 7-0, in a league match.
The Spartans now sport a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they host Providence Academy for a non-league match on Tuesday, September 30. St. Paul Academy-Summit will meet a Lions team coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Academy of Holy Angels (Richfield, MN). The Lions record now stands at 11-2.
