Carlmont Scots (Belmont, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host Menlo-Atherton Bears (Atherton, CA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Scots (8-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Half Moon Bay (Half Moon Bay, CA). The Cougars come into the challenge with a 7-1 record. In their last challenge, Half Moon Bay nudged Sequoia (Redwood City, CA), 2-0, in a league game.
