Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Carmel Corsairs (Mundelein, IL) and the host Grayslake Central Rams (Grayslake, IL), observed Carmel's volleyball team top Grayslake Central by a count of 2-0.

The Corsairs (19-5) will now prepare for their contest against Joliet Catholic (Joliet, IL). The Hilltoppers enter the East Suburban Catholic contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, Joliet Catholic was knocked off by Marist (Chicago, IL), 2-0, in a league contest.

The Rams now own a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grant Community for a Northern Lake County battle on Tuesday, September 30. Grayslake Central will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Wauconda (Wauconda, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-12.
