The Powell County Pirates volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Fleming County Panthers to 1 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Pirates now sport a 11-10 record. They play next when they travel to Bracken County for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 27. Powell County will play a Polar Bears team coming off a 3-0 league win over Mason County (Maysville, KY). The Polar Bears record now stands at 12-2.
