Friona Chieftans (Friona, TX) followers left the game pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team run past the visiting River Road Wildcats (Amarillo, TX), 3-0 in a league outing.

The Chieftans now have a 16-15 record. They play next when they travel to Clovis for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 30. Friona will play a Wildcats team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Moriarty (Moriarty, NM). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, River Road drops to 4-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Bushland (Bushland, TX) to play the Falcons in a 3A Region I District 1 outing on Saturday, October 4. The Falcons come into the outing with a record of 26-8.
