In Saturday's non-league match, the Independence Bulldogs (Independence, KS) volleyball squad tipped the visiting St. Mary's-Colgan Panthers (Pittsburg, KS), by a count of 2-1.

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Neodesha Blue Streaks (Neodesha, KS) in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 27. Independence will attempt to move on its 10-9 season record. The Blue Streaks enter the match with a 18-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Iola (Iola, KS).

With the loss, St. Mary's-Colgan drops to 12-10 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Neodesha (Neodesha, KS) to clash with the Blue Streaks in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 27.
