In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host West Delaware Hawks volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Linn-Mar Lions.

The Hawks (19-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Solon (Solon, IA). The Spartans come into the non-league challenge with a 14-3 record. In their last challenge, Solon beat Marion (Marion, IA), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Lions meet the Davenport West Falcons (Davenport, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 2. Linn-Mar will attempt to upgrade on its 8-17 season record. The Falcons go into the test with a 2-16 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to North Scott (Eldridge, IA).
