Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Virgin Valley Bulldogs (Mesquite, NV) and the host Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights (Las Vegas, NV), observed Virgin Valley's volleyball team top Mater Academy East Las Vegas by a tally of 2-0.

The Bulldogs (15-9) will now prepare for their contest against Pahrump Valley (Pahrump, NV). The Trojans enter the 3A Southern contest with a 12-15 record. In their last contest, Pahrump Valley was beaten by Boulder City (Boulder City, NV), 3-1, in a league test.

The Knights now own a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Legacy for a 4A Southern - Sun test on Monday, September 29. Mater Academy East Las Vegas will encounter a Longhorns squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Southeast Career Tech (Las Vegas, NV). The Longhorns record now stands at 6-13.
