South Dakota High School Volleyball - Wagner tips Mt. Vernon/Plankinton

Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Wagner Red Raiders (Wagner, SD) and the host Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD), observed Wagner's volleyball squad nudge Mt. Vernon/Plankinton by a score of 2-1.

With the win, Wagner improves its record to 12-4 on the season. The Red Raiders host Hanson (Alexandria, SD) to encounter the Beavers in a A Region 5 battle on Tuesday, September 30. The Beavers go into the battle with a record of 4-11. Hanson lost 2-0 in their recent non-league battle against Hitchcock-Tulare (Tulare, SD)

The Titans now own a 5-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Platte/Geddes for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 30. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton will encounter a Black Panthers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Colman-Egan (Colman, SD). The Black Panthers record now stands at 5-9.
