Fans at Saturday's league contest between the Nyssa Bulldogs (Nyssa, OR) and the visiting Riverside Pirates (Boardman, OR), observed Nyssa's volleyball team hold off Riverside by a count of 3-2.

The Bulldogs (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Vale (Vale, OR). The Vikings enter the 3A Eastern Oregon contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Vale got by Umatilla (Umatilla, OR), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Pirates battle the Enterprise Outlaws (Enterprise, OR) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 30. Riverside will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The Outlaws go into the battle with a 6-7 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Jordan Valley (Jordan Valley, OR).
