The Rockcastle County Rockets (Mt. Vernon, KY) volleyball held off the visiting Pulaski County Maroons (Somerset, KY), 2-1 in Saturday's league bout.
The Rockets now possess a 9-14 record. They play next when they travel to Shelby Valley for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 27. Rockcastle County will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 20-3.
The Maroons (12-7) will now prepare for their match against East Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY). The Jaguars enter the non-league match with a 8-10 record. In their last match, East Jessamine held off Estill County (Irvine, KY), 3-1, in a non-league match.
