Orono Riots (Orono, ME) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting George Stevens Academy Eagles (Blue Hill, ME), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Riots face the Central Red Devils (East Corinth, ME) in a Class C - North challenge, on Wednesday, October 5. Orono will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Red Devils enter the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 11-1 league win over Sumner (East Sullivan, ME).

The Eagles now have a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mount View for a Class C - North challenge on Monday, October 3. George Stevens Academy will face a Mustangs team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Lawrence (Fairfield, ME). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-5.
