North Carolina High School Volleyball - Watauga tips Ashe County

September 28, 2022: West Jefferson, NC 28694

Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) supporters left the game in high spirits Wednesday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), 2-1 in a league match.

Next up, the Pioneers battle the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) in a non-league match, on Monday, October 3. Watauga will attempt to advance on its 7-1 season record. The Spartans come into the match with a 8-8 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Hibriten (Lenoir, NC).

With the loss, Ashe County drops to 10-1 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC) to battle the Cougars in a match on Tuesday, October 4. The Cougars come into the match with a record of 7-6. Alexander Central won 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Freedom (Morganton, NC)
