In Wednesday's league battle, the visiting Cleveland Storm soccer squad scored a close 1-0 win over the Cibola Cougars.
The Storm (8-5) will now prepare for their battle against Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM). The Hawks go into the 5A District 1 battle with a 9-1 record. In their last battle, Volcano Vista nipped Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM), 4-1, in a league battle.
The Cougars (4-9) will now prepare for their battle against Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM). The Rams go into the 5A District 1 battle with a 6-3 record. In their last battle, Rio Rancho was nudged by Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM), 2-1, in a league battle.
