The Ashland Oredockers football team (Ashland, WI), was beaten 28-14 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Lakeland Thunderbirds (Minocqua, WI)
The Thunderbirds (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Hayward/Lac Courte Oreilles (Hayward, WI). The Hurricanes come into the Great Northern challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, Hayward/Lac Courte Oreilles knocked off Merrill (Merrill, WI), 20-0, in a league challenge.
The Oredockers now sport a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they host Antigo for a Great Northern challenge on Friday, October 6. Ashland will meet a Red Robins team coming off a 35-0 league loss to Mosinee (Mosinee, WI). The Red Robins record now stands at 3-4.
