Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Winslow Black Raiders (Winslow, ME), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Huskies confront the Foxcroft Academy Ponies (Dover-Foxcroft, ME) in a Class C - North challenge, on Monday, October 2. Maine Central Institute will attempt to move on its 7-2 season record. The Ponies enter the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 6-4 league win over Dexter (Dexter, ME).

The Black Raiders now possess a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Waterville for a Class B - North challenge on Saturday, September 30. Winslow will confront a Panthers team coming off a 4-2 league loss to Medomak Valley (Waldoboro, ME). The Panthers record now stands at 5-4.
