New Hartford Spartans (New Hartford, NY) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Rome Free Academy Black Knights (Rome, NY), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Spartans confront the Whitesboro Warriors (Marcy, NY) in a TVL West challenge, on Friday, September 29. New Hartford will attempt to better on its 8-0 season record.

The Black Knights now have a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host New Hartford for a TVL West challenge on Sunday, October 1.
