In Thursday's non-league battle, the visiting Amelia County Raiders volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Buckingham Knights.
The Raiders (6-0) will now prepare for their battle against Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA). The Phoenix come into the non-league battle with a 1-1 record.
Next, the Knights clash with the Randolph-Henry Statesmen (Charlotte Court House, VA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, October 2. Buckingham will attempt to advance on its 0-9 season record. The Statesmen come into the battle with a 5-4 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Heritage (Lynchburg, VA).
