The Surry County Cougars topped the visiting Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech Dragons volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Cougars now have a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklin for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 3. Surry County will confront a Broncos team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Windsor (Windsor, VA). The Broncos record now stands at 2-6.

The Dragons (0-5) will now prepare for their test against Greensville County (Emporia, VA). The Eagles enter the non-league test with a 2-3 record.
