The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) and the host Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC), saw East Gaston's volleyball squad nip Thomas Jefferson by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, East Gaston upgrades its record to 10-3 on the year. The Warriors host Shelby (Shelby, NC) to play the Golden Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 3. The Golden Lions go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Shelby lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC)

The Gryphons now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they host West Lincoln for a non-league bout on Monday, October 2.
