The East Hill Christian Eagles topped the visiting Pensacola Area Homeschool Phoenix volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Eagles now have a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pensacola Christian Academy for a non-league test on Saturday, September 30.
The Phoenix (4-14) will now prepare for their test against Santa Rosa Christian (Milton, FL). The enter the non-league test with a 0-5 record.
Match Summary
In the first set, the JV Phoenix team started out neck and neck with the JV Eagles. But at 8 points, the team went cold and could not score again. Once again, serve receive became very challenging for them. But in the 2nd set, the girls were competitive early, fell behind a bit, and then fought back into it. The team actually ended up playing one of their best sets of the season, with organized play, good attacks, and accurate passing. Unfortunately, they still fell short of winning the set.
